3D Side-scrolling Shooter Demo

I created a Metal Slug inspired 3D Side-scrolling Shooter to demo the possibilities of reinventing the 2D platform-shooter style of gameplay. Player movement is locked to the x-axis, and a shoot-at-cursor script spawns projectiles from the player, towards the cursor, out into 3D space.

The demo is equipped with turrets and gunships that are capable of firing different weapon types, from traditional projectiles, to destructible homing missiles. 

Health, damage, and double-jump pickups expand the gameplay options, and can be easily modified to accommodate a host of different weapon pick-ups, and gameplay boosters, from grenade launchers, to armor buffs.
